The National Rifle Association was formed in 1871 and is the premier shooting organization, whose standards are internationally recognized. Upon completion of these courses, you will receive an NRA certificate. Our NRA firearms classes in Florida can include the Florida Concealed Weapons Permit Class, if required.

Types of ammunition
Cleaning and storage of firearms

Length of course is approximately four hours

National Rifle Association Basic Pistol Class

The purpose of this course is to teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and using a pistol safely. This course includes live firing. On this course you will learn:

Pistol knowledge
Safe gun handling
Types of ammunition
Fundamentals of pistol shooting
Firing the first shots
Standing shooting positions
Pistol sports and activities.

The length of this course is approximately ten hours

National Rifle Association Personal Protection in the Home Class

The purpose of this course is to develop the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and effective use of a handgun for the protection of yourself and your family and to provide information on the law abiding person's right to self-defense. For this course, you need to have completed the basic pistol course or have handgun experience. On this course you will learn:

Introduction to defensive shooting
Basic defensive handgun skills
Firearms and the law
Strategies for home safety
Responding to a violent confrontation
Selecting a handgun for self-defense
Sport shooting and training opportunities

The length of this course is approximately eight hours
